about
Pianist, composer and arranger Michel Bisceglia worked with the greatest Belgian musicians and a series of international artists. Rarely can we hear him perform with his own jazz trio. However, the Michel Bisceglia trio is purely lyrical in style and has great class. On their first CD About Stories he had the privilege to work with Randy Brecker and Bob Mintzer.
Michel Bisceglia took his time to develop truly personal projects with the trio. Although they recorded only three cd's since 1997, they did play at renowned jazz festivals such as the Rochester International Jazz Festival (US), with Dewey Redman at the Guimarães Jazz Festival (Portugal), and the Ulverston Music Festival in UK. The three albums are masterpieces and expressions of subtle meditation on melody.
With ingredients lend to film music, the arrangements on Inner You are homogeneous and melodious, whereas they remain rooted in jazz. Each creates an environment which brings a serene rest and arouses a rich imagination. Michel Bisceglia's mature convolution of virtuosity and musical roots, accentuates the character of the trio and the music recorded on Inner You.
